Gladsaxe Stadium
Gladsaxe Stadium ( da, Gladsaxe Stadion) is a sports center located on Gladsaxevej 200, Søborg, Gladsaxe Municipality, in Copenhagen, which is primarily used for association football matches. The stadium hosts a number of training courses for running the football, handball and softball and hosts a restaurant. The ground is the home ground of Akademisk Boldklub and Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub (rail size: 68 x 105 meters, and lighting: 700 lux.). The stadium has a capacity of 13,800, of which 8,000 are covered seats. The construction of the plant was started in 1938 and named Gladsaxe Idrætspark Marielyst. The inauguration of the facility took place on 26 May 1940. Recent renovation was started on 16 November 1998 and included construction of one long side with both upper and lower grandstand and a sponsor lounge. Gladsaxe Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') near Copenhagen in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a total population of 69,681 (2019). Its mayor is Trine Græse, a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Buddinge. Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (or AB) is a Danish professional football club from Gladsaxe north of Copenhagen, currently playing at the 3rd highest level of Danish domestic football in the Danish 2nd Division group 1. The club was established on February 26, 1889, through a merger of Fredericia Studenternes Kricketklub and Polyteknisk Boldklub. Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub
Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub is a football club based in Gladsaxe Municipality, Denmark. The club currently competes in the Series 1. History Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub is a merger between Boldklubben Hero and Gladsaxe Boldklub in 1979, but the latter was formed (as Søborg Boldklub) on 11 January 1923. In the early 1980s, Gladsaxe-Hero was regarded as one of Zealand's best football youth academies, but in the 1988–89 season, Gladsaxe-Hero moved out of the 3rd division, starting a long decline for the club with five relegations in six seasons. Both Peter Schmeichel and Dennis Rommedahl, the top two all-time most-capped players in Danish history, have played for the clubs youth academy.
