Gjilani
Gjilan, or Gnjilane ( sr-cyr, Гњилане) is the eighth largest city in Kosovo and seat of Gjilan Municipality and Gjilan District. Name Ottoman chronicler Evliya Çelebi mentions ''Morava'' as a settlement of the Sanjak of Vučitrn. Çelebi writes that: "The seventeen day journey from Constantinople (Istanbul) to pass through Vranje, Novo Brdo, Kriva Reka (Egridere) and Morava (Gjilan). The etymology of Gjilan is disputed. District Of Gjilan
The District of Gjilan ( sq, Rajoni i Gjilanit) is one of the seven districts (the higher-level administrative divisions) of Kosovo. Its seat is in the city of Gjilan. History Anamorava, literally "side of river of Morava", is the hilly countryside in south eastern Kosovo south of Gjilan and on the Binačka Morava. It stretches eastward to the Preševo (Presheva) valley in southern Serbia. The mountains in this region rise to an altitude of 1,000 to 1,200 meters, and culminate in the Karadak region bordering neighboring North Macedonia north of Skopje. A municipality ( sq, komuna, sr, / ) is the basic administrative division in Kosovo and constitutes the only level of power in local governance. There are 38 municipalities in Kosovo; 27 of which have an Albanian ethnic majority, 10 Serb and 1 Turkish. After the 2013 Brussels Agreement, signed by the governments of Kosovo and Serbia, an agreement was made to create a Community of Serb Municipalities, which would operate within Kosovo's legal framework. Albanian Language
Albanian ( endonym: or ) is an Indo-European language and an independent branch of that family of languages. Drenica ( al, Drenicë, Drenica, ), also known as the Drenica Valley, is a hilly region in central Kosovo, covering roughly around of Kosovo's total area (6%). It consists of two municipalities, Drenas and Skenderaj, and several villages in Klina, Zubin Potok, Mitrovica and Vushtrri. It is located west of the capital, Pristina. Vushtrri
Vushtrri ( sq-definite, Vushtrria) or Vučitrn ( sr-Cyrl, Вучитрн), is a city and municipality located in the Mitrovica District in northern Kosovo. According to the 2011 census, the town of Vushtrri has 26,964 inhabitants, while the municipality has 69,870 inhabitants. Vushtrri is surrounded by the city of Mitrovica to the north, Podujeva in the east, Obiliq in the south, Drenas in the south-west, and Skënderaj in the west. Llap (region)
Llap Region ( sq, Krahina e Llapit, lit=Region of Llap; sr, Лабско поље, Labsko polje, lit=Plain of Lab) is a region located in the north-eastern part of Kosovo. Llap in the broadest sense includes the watershed of the Llap river. The Lab water collection begins in the mount of Kopaonik in the north and west, and ends by joining the Sitnica river in Lumadh, municipality of Vushtrri, in the north-west of Prishtina. The topographic watershed of the Lab covers an area of 945.4 km. This area approximately corresponds to the administrative territory of the municipality of Podujevo in the current division of Kosovo.
