Gizi Bajor, or Gizi Bayor (born Gizella Beyer;18 May 1893, Budapest - 12 February 1951, Budapest) was a Hungarian actress. Life Gizi Bajor born on 18 May 1893, in Budapest. Her father, a former mining engineer, and her mother of Italian ancestry were operating ''Café Báthory'' on the Kálvin Square, where Bajor first met the nightlife of the city, her later audience. After studying in a girls' school operated by nuns of ''Institutum Beatae Mariae Virginis'', she completed the Academy of Drama in Budapest between 1911-14. Praised by teachers and critics, she was allowed to join the National Theatre immediately after the academy, where she (except for the 1924-25 season, joining the ''Magyar'' theatre) remained until her death. During World War II, she hid deserted soldiers and families in her resort, including her later third husband, prof. Tibor Germán. Kossuth Prize
The Kossuth Prize ( hu, Kossuth-díj) is a state-sponsored award in Hungary, named after the Hungarian politician and revolutionist Lajos Kossuth. The Prize was established in 1948 (on occasion of the centenary of the March 15th revolution, the day on which it is still handed over every year) by the Hungarian National Assembly, to acknowledge outstanding personal and group achievements in the fields of science, culture and the arts, as well as in the building of socialism in general. Jenő Heltai (11 August 1871 – 3 September 1957), until 1913 Eugen Herzl, was a Hungarian author, poet, journalist and producer. He was of Jewish descent, though he later converted to Christianity. Several of his novels and plays have been adapted into movies. Some of his works have also been translated into English and Hebrew among others. Biography Jenő Heltai was the first son of Károly Herzl and Jozefa Reich. Theodor Herzl was his cousin. He studied at the Law Faculty of the University of Budapest before he quit his studies in 1890 to become a journalist, working for the newspaper "Magyar Hírlap". In 1892, Heltai published his first book of poetry, Modern dalok. Heltai married his first wife, Hausz Valéria on 3 August 1903. From 1914 until 1917, Heltai was the director of a Budapest theater.
