Giuseppe Vatinno
Giuseppe Vatinno (Rome, April 3, 1961) is an Italian politician, journalist and writer. As part of the Italy of Values party, he has been a member of the Observatory on High Speed Rail for the Bologna Node from 2006 to 2008, and advisor for environmental policies of the Minister of Infrastructure and member of the Commission for Environmental Impact Assessment of the Ministry of Environment from 2007 to 2008. After leaving Italy of Values, as a member of Alliance for Italy party since 2010, he became the party's manager of the Environment and member of its National Steering Committee. In 2011, he was a member of the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment for the new technologies. Following the resignation of Leoluca Orlando, as of July 10, 2012, he has been deputy of the Italian Republic, as the first non-elected in District 1 of Lazio's list for Italy of Values, until the end of the legislature on March 14, 2013. Italy of Values ( it, Italia dei Valori, IdV) is a populist and anti-corruption political party in Italy. The party was founded in 1998 by former ''Mani pulite'' prosecutor Antonio Di Pietro, who entered politics in 1996 and finally left the party in 2014. IdV has aimed at gathering and giving voice to different sectors of the Italian society. From the beginning of its existence one of its major issues has been the so-called "moral issue". Alliance for Italy ( it, Alleanza per l'Italia; ApI) was a centrist political party in Italy. The party, which was described in its manifesto as "democratic, liberal, popular" as opposed both to " right-wing populism" and the " social-democratic left", described as "an experience with high and memorable value, yet by now run out", was launched on 11 November 2009 by Francesco Rutelli, senator for the Democratic Party (PD) and former leader of Democracy is Freedom – The Daisy (DL). The core of the party was composed by the Free Democrats, the faction Rutelli launched some months before leaving the PD. Leoluca Orlando (born 1 August 1947), is an Italian politician, Mayor of Palermo for over twenty years and President of Italian Federation of American Football (FIDAF). He is best known for his strong opposition to the Sicilian Mafia during his mayoralty in the 1980s, which was publicly referenced in the media as the "Palermo Spring" (Italian: ''Primavera di Palermo''). Transhumanism is a philosophical and intellectual movement which advocates the enhancement of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies that can greatly enhance longevity and cognition.
