Giuseppe Tomaselli
Giuseppe Tomaselli (29 January 1758 – 20 March 1836) was an Italian actor and operatic singer (tenor). Life Born in Rovereto, as a member of the prominent Tomaselli family, Giuseppe received a musical education in Milan with a focus on singing. In October 1781, he joined the court chapel of Hieronymus of Colloredo, Prince-Bishop of Salzburg. Soon he became acquainted with Leopold Mozart and his family. Between 1803 and 1807 he worked as a chamber singer. At the age of 30, Tomaselli married Theresia Gschwendter. After the death of his wife he married Antonia Honikel. With his second wife he had a daughter, Katharina and three sons, Carl, Franz and Ignaz. Between 1796 and 1798, together with Lorenz Hübner, he directed the Salzburger Landestheater. During this time he not only achieved success as a singer but also as a singing teacher. The Emperor of Austria (german: Kaiser von Österreich) was the ruler of the Austrian Empire and later the Austro-Hungarian Empire. A hereditary imperial title and office proclaimed in 1804 by Holy Roman Emperor Francis II, a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, and continually held by him and his heirs until Charles I relinquished power in 1918. The emperors retained the title of Archduke of Austria. The wives of the emperors held the title empress, while other members of the family held the titles of archduke or archduchess. Paul List (21 August 1869 – 30 April 1929) was a German publisher. Life Born in Berlin the son of Friedrich Jacob Alfred List (1829-1882), banker and co-founder of , and his wife Christine Marie Louise, ''née'' Simon, started out in Göttingen But then he started the career of his grandfather, the Berlin publisher Jacob Alfred List (1778-1848), who studied agriculture and became a bookseller at the publishing house Schall & Grund, Berlin. Giuseppe Sarti
Giuseppe Sarti (also Sardi; baptised 1 December 1729 – 28 July 1802) was an Italian opera composer. Biography He was born at Faenza. His date of birth is not known, but he was baptised on 1 December 1729. Some earlier sources say he was born on 28 December, but his baptism certificate proves the later date impossible. Already organist at Faenza at age 13, he was invited to receive an education by Padre Martini in Bologna. Resigning his appointment in Faenza in 1750, Sarti devoted himself to the study of dramatic music, becoming director of the Faenza theatre in 1752. Opera In 1752 he produced his first documented opera, ''Il re pastore'' (because the date of ''Pompeo in Armenia'' is not certain). In 1753 Sarti went to Copenhagen with Pietro Mingotti and in 1755 King Frederick V of Denmark appointed him Hofkapellmeister and director of the opera. Here he produced his ''Ciro riconosciuto''.
