Giuseppe Santagostino
Giuseppe Santagostino (18 March 1901 – 1 April 1955) was an Italian professional footballer and manager who played as a striker. He ranks eighth in AC Milan's all-time goalscorers list, and has been inducted into the club's Hall of Fame. 1932–33 Prima Divisione
The 1932–33 Prima Divisione was the third level league of the 33rd Association football league system in Italy, Italian football championship. In 1928, FIGC had decided a reform of the league structure of Italian football. The top-level league was the National Division, composed by the two divisions of Serie A and Serie B. Under them, there were the local championship, the major one being the First Division, that in 1935 will take the name of Serie C. Starting this season, the winners of the nine groups of First Division would be admitted to the final rounds, where three tickets of promotion to Serie B were available, whereas the scheduled relegations were annulled by the Federation which expanded the division, as the scheduled promotions were increased for an enlargement of next Serie B season. Ligue 1, officially known as Ligue 1 Uber Eats for sponsorship reasons, is a French professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the French football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Divisione Nazionale ''(National Division)'' was the name of the first level of the Italian Football Championship from 1926 to 1929. History The competition was the evolution of former Prima Divisione ''(First Division)'' which had two main problems: it was divided between the northern and the southern part of the country, and was formally faithful to the amatorial directories of FIFA. The fascist regime couldn't accept a championship based on local groups, so in 1926 it took the direct control of FIGC with fascist Leandro Arpinati as president, who merged two Roman clubs and newborn Napoli into the Milan-based Northern League, which consequently changed its name into Direttorio Divisioni Superiori ''(Directory of Higher Divisions)'', and it formed a Prima Divisione Sud championship ''(Southern First Division)'' which would promote a southern club into the renamed Divisione Nazionale every year.
