Giuseppe Psaila
Giuseppe or Joseph Psaila (1891–1960) was a Maltese architect. He graduated from the University of Malta in around 1915, and he was one of the few Art Nouveau architects in Malta since at the time neoclassicism was still popular, especially in the case of public buildings. He was influenced by the work of the Italian architects Raimondo D'Aronco and Ernesto Basile. Psaila worked on a number of private commissions in the early 20th century. One of the buildings attributed to him is a landmark house at 225, Tower Road, Sliema which was built in 1914 for Antonio Cassar Torregiani. Today, this is the only surviving Art Nouveau house on the Sliema front. In 2012–13, the building was restored and converted into a Lombard Bank branch. At this point, a third story was added, conforming with the original architectural style. Giuseppe Guarino (1922–2020) was an Italian law scholar and politician from the Christian Democracy (DC). He served as the minister of finance briefly in 1987 and minister of industry and minister of state holdings from 1992 and 1993. Early life and education Guarino was born in Naples on 15 November 1922. His family were originally from Solofra. His father died when Giuseppe was just eleven years old. Guarino studied law and specialized in public law. Career Guarino started his career as a faculty member at the University of Sassari in 1950 and became a professor of public law there. Giuseppe Gorla
Giuseppe Gorla (1895–1979) was an Italian civil engineer and politician who was a member of the National Fascist Party. Between 1940 and 1943 he served as the minister of public works. Early life and education Gorla was born in Vernate on 6 September 1895. He studied civil engineering at the University of Pavia. During his studies he was among the contributors of ''Il Popolo d'Italia''. Gorla joined the Italian army and fought in World War I. Giuseppe Bastianini (8 March 1899 – 17 December 1961) was an Italian politician and diplomat. Initially associated with the hard-line elements of the fascist movements he later became a member of the dissident tendency. Early years Bastianini was born in Perugia. At an early age he became a local fascist leader in Umbria where he garnered a reputation as a member of the hard-line ''intransigenti'' wing of the movement. Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi (; 9 or 10 October 1813 – 27 January 1901) was an Italian composer best known for his operas. He was born near Busseto to a provincial family of moderate means, receiving a musical education with the help of a local patron.
