Giuseppe Funicello
Giuseppe "Joe" Funicello (born 19 April 1987 in Agropoli) is a former Italian-American football player. Career Youth Funicello grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut, and attended Norwalk High School, where he was local newspaper The Hour's 2004 All-Area MVP. He turned down chances to play college soccer, instead travelling to Europe to pursue a professional career. Professional Funicello played for the youth team at Salernitana in Italy, but was not offered a full professional contract by the team, and returned to the United States to consider his options. He briefly trialled with both the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer and the Atlanta Silverbacks in the USL First Division, and played for the Brooklyn Knights in the USL Premier Development League, before returning to Europe again in the fall of 2007. Agropoli
Agropoli is a town and ''comune'' located in the Cilento area of the province of Salerno, Campania, Italy. It is situated at the start of the Cilentan Coast, on the Tyrrhenian Sea. History Pre-medieval period The promontory on which Agropoli stands has been inhabited since Neolithic times. It seems, however, that it was not until the later Bronze Age, Bronze and Iron Ages that it came to be continuously inhabited by a stable, Indigenous peoples, indigenous population, which lived off hunting and fishing. Norwalk High School (Connecticut)
Norwalk High School is a high school located in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. It is the oldest high school in Norwalk, created in 1902, originally being housed in what is now Norwalk City Hall. The first graduating class for the current building was in 1975. The school mascot is a bear and the school colors are green and white. Its crosstown rival is Brien McMahon High School and the two schools compete annually in football on Thanksgiving day. The $4.2 million Shea-Magrath Sports Complex, which includes the astroturf Testa Field, sits just to the south of the school. It replaced Andrews Field, located 1/4 mile west of the school.
