Gitta Jønsson
Gitta Jønsson (5 October 1869 – 6 March 1950) was a Norwegian Labour Party politician and proponent for women's rights. Early and personal life Jønsson was born in Tromsøysund, a daughter of Johan Widding Larsen Hagerup and Eline Marie Moe. As a young woman she worked as housemaid in Tromsø and Kristiania, and was eventually running a milk shop along with her sister. She married saddle maker Anders Jønsson in 1903, and they settled in Tromsø, where he established a workshop and she opened a café. Their daughter Bengta Andrea married composer Bjarne Amdahl. Political career Jønsson joined the Labour Party in 1909, and founded Tromsø Arbeiderkvinneforening in 1911. Taking part in local politics, she was elected member of the executive council of Tromsø from 1913 to 1925. She was a member of the board of the Norwegian Labour Party from 1923 to 1945, and chaired the Northern Troms chapter for many years. Gitta-Maria Sjöberg (born 25.07.1957) is a Swedish operatic soprano who celebrated her 25th anniversary as a soloist with the Royal Danish Theatre in 2013. She has frequently performed outside Denmark, especially in Germany and Sweden as well as in North and South America. Biography Born on 25 July 1957 in Trollhättan, southwestern Sweden, Sjöberg first sang in public when she was just four years old. Gitta Sereny, CBE (13 March 192114 June 2012) was an Austrian-British biographer, historian, and investigative journalist who came to be known for her interviews and profiles of infamous figures, including Mary Bell, who was convicted in 1968 of killing two children when she herself was a child, and Franz Stangl, the commandant of the Treblinka extermination camp. Born and initially raised in Austria, she was the author of five books, including ''The Case of Mary Bell: A Portrait of a Child Who Murdered'' (1972) and ''Albert Speer: His Battle with Truth'' (1995). Sereny was awarded the Duff Cooper Prize and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for her book on Albert Speer in 1995, and the Stig Dagerman Prize in 2002. Gitta Mallasz (June 21, 1907 – May 25, 1992) was a Hungarian graphic designer and an artist. Today, she is best known for her transcription of a series of extraordinary spiritual instructions, of which she was one of the recipients in Hungary during World War II. In English, the book is called ''Talking with Angels''. Life Margit Eugenia (Gitta) Mallasz was born in 1907 in Ljubljana (Laibach) into an Austro-Hungarian family. Her father was an officer in the Hungarian army, her mother was Austrian. In her adolescence in Hungary she became friends with Hanna Dallos at the Academy of Graphic Arts. Gitta Kutyniok (born 1972) is a German applied mathematician known for her research in harmonic analysis, deep learning, compressed sensing, and image processing. She has a Bavarian AI Chair for "Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence" in the institute of mathematics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
