Giselle Jeanne-Marie Laronde-West (born October 23, 1963) is a Trinidadian model and beauty queen who won the Miss World 1986 contest, representing Trinidad and Tobago. Walking away with the title Miss World 1986, Giselle Laronde West became the first woman from Trinidad and Tobago to be victorious in the Miss World pageant, at the age of just 23 years. She became the second woman from that nation to win an international beauty pageant, after Janelle Commissiong Miss Universe 1977. The pageant was held in London, UK. Helen Fairbrother (born c. 1964) is an English beauty queen who was crowned Miss International 1986. Miss International 1986 Fairbrother represented England at the Miss International 1986 pageant when it was held in Nagasaki, Japan on 31 August 1986. She bested 1st runner-up Pia Rosenberg Larsen of Denmark, who would later be crowned 1st runner-up at the Miss World 1986, and 2nd runner-up Martha Cristiana Merino Ponce de León of Mexico, to become the 26th winner of the pageant.
