"Girls Girls" (stylized as "GIRLS GIRLS") is a song by Swedish synth-pop duo Icona Pop. It was written by Litens Anton Nilsson, Icona Pop, Marcus Andersson, Tove Lo, Emma Bertilsson and Johan Gustafson, with the latter one handling the song's production. It was released commercially for digital download on 16 June 2017, through TEN Music Group, Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group, as the duo's first single of 2017. Music video The official music video was released on Icona Pop's YouTube channel on 16 June 2017. It included selfies from the duo themselves, as well as selfies collected from their fans. Icona Pop
Icona Pop ( ) is a Swedish electropop duo which formed in 2009, with electro house and indie pop music influences. Its two members, Caroline Hjelt (born 8 November 1987) and Aino Jawo (born 7 July 1986), grew up in Stockholm and create what the Swedish press has described as music which "you can both laugh and cry to at the same time". They signed to TEN Music Group in 2009 and are currently also in a label deal with Ultra Music. Their biggest hit to date has been " I Love It". Career Beginning Caroline Hjelt (born 8 November 1987, of a Swedish mother and Sweden-Finnish father) and Aino Jawo (born 7 July 1986, of a Finnish mother and Gambian father) attended the same music school in Stockholm, but met by chance at a party in February 2009 and formed the duo. Chris Gehringer (born May 27, 1962) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered recordings such as Gwen Stefani's '' Love. Angel. Music. Baby.'' (2004), Rihanna's '' Loud'' (2010), Lady Gaga's '' Born This Way'' (2011) and Drake's '' Take Care'' (2011). Biography Gehringer was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and raised in Bergen County. After graduating from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, New Jersey, he attended the Institute of Audio Research. His first job in the industry was at Greene Street Recording and from there, he went on to work as a cutting assistant at Trutone Records. In 1985, Gehringer joined Tom Coyne and Herbie Powers at Frankford-Wayne Mastering and mastered primarily Dance music, dance and Contemporary R&B, R&B records throughout the 1980s.
