Giovanni Pietro Perti
Giovanni Pietro Perti or Peretti (1648 – 1714) was an Italian Baroque sculptor and architect, regarded as one of the leading European sculptors on the verge of the 18th century. He has been an elder of Šnipiškės and Antakalnis suburbs governed by Sapiehas. Living in Canton Ticino, Perti, as a sculptor of ''comasco school'', was influenced by an Italian master Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Educated in Florence and invited to Vilnius by Michał Kazimierz Pac, Perti has spent most of his life in the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania working for magnate families. He became famous for the stucco decorations of St. Peter and St. Paul's Church (1677–82), considered the Lithuanian Baroque masterpiece. He worked together with Giovanni Maria Galli who added the ornamentations around sculptures by Perti. Slushko Palace
Slushko Palace ( lt, Sluškų rūmai, pl, Pałac Słuszków) in Vilnius, Lithuania is a Baroque palace situated on the left bank of Neris River in the Old Town elderate, former Antakalnis suburb of the city. The palace was erected in 1690–1700 by voivode of Polock Dominik Słuszko of the Clan of Ostoja, who ordered creating an artificial peninsula on Neris for the purpose of building the palace there. The peninsula was formed from the soil of the leveled down hill separating Antakalnis from the Vilnius Castles. Initially the façades of the palace were unified by a giant order of Ionic pilasters framing huge windows. It is believed that the decoration works of the palace were performed by Michelangelo Palloni and Giovanni Pietro Perti who was the architect of the palace. Michelangelo Palloni (1637—1712) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, who worked in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth from 1674 onward. Palloni was born at Campi Bisenzio, Florence. Kaunas
Kaunas (; ; also see other names) is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius and an important centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life.
