Ginger A. Pooley (Married and maiden names, née Reyes, born April 22, 1977) is an American rock musician, best known as a bassist and backing vocalist for the Chicago alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. More recently she has played bass for Gwen Stefani and Lea Michele. She is an artist and songwriter who has released solo music under the name Ginger Sling. She was also part of the femme punk band the Halo Friendlies. She has toured all over the world and her music has been placed on many television shows and films. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter where she continues to create music for various projects. Early life and education Reyes was born in Chicago, Illinois, of Peruvian ancestry. The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins (also referred to as simply Smashing Pumpkins) are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Formed in 1988 by frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan, bassist D'arcy Wretzky, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the band has undergone several line-up changes since their reunion in 2006, with Corgan being the sole constant member since its inception. Melissa Auf Der Maur
Melissa Gaboriau Auf der Maur (; born March 17, 1972) is a Canadian musician. Auf der Maur began performing in 1993 after forming the indie rock band Tinker while she was a student at Concordia University. She was recruited as the bassist for the American alternative rock band Hole in the summer of 1994 and is included on several Hole releases, including the album ''Celebrity Skin'' (1998). D'arcy Elizabeth Wretzky-Brown (born May 1, 1968) is an American musician. She is the original bass player of the alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins and is credited on their first six studio albums. She left the band in 1999. Djay Brawner
Djay Brawner (born June 21, 1981) is an American director of music videos, film, and television. Career In 2000, after taking film classes at De Anza College, he moved Orange, California to begin his education at Chapman University's film school. While studying there, he produced and directed a number of films and soon after went on to become a director Generator, a music video production company started by Derek Dale. During that time he filmed a number of upcoming bands, many of which have been featured on MTV, MTV2, and Fuse. His first commissioned music video was for Emery in 2004.
