Ginette L'Heureux
Ginette L'Heureux is an administrator and former politician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was a member of the Montreal city council from 1986 to 1994, serving as a member of the Montreal Citizens' Movement (MCM) party. Early life and career L'Heureux worked as an aide to Parti Québécois (PQ) legislator Louise Harel before her own election and supported Pauline Marois's first bid for the PQ leadership in 1985. She was thirty-seven years old in late 1986 and administered a project to reintegrate women into the workforce. Municipal councillor L'Heureux was first elected to the Montreal city council in the 1986 municipal election, defeating a Civic Party candidate in the east-end Maissoneuve ward. Yves Ryan
Yves Ryan (28 February 1928 – 2 February 2014) was a Canadian politician in the province of Quebec. He served as the mayor of Montreal North from 1963 until 2001, when the suburban city was amalgamated into the new city of Montreal. Family and early career Ryan was the son of Blandine (née Dorion) and Henri-Albert Ryan. He was the youngest brother of Claude Ryan, a prominent politician and journalist in Quebec. 1990 Montreal Municipal Election
The 1990 Montreal municipal election took place on November 4, 1990, to elect a mayor and city councillors in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jean Doré was elected to a second term as mayor by a significant margin. All mayoral candidates were also permitted to run for seats on council in tandem with "co-listed candidates." In this way, all unsuccessful mayoral candidates could serve on council by assuming the seat of their co-lister (provided, of course, that the co-lister was elected).
