Alexander Vasilievich Gine (russian: Александр Васильевич Гине; 1830 – June 3, 1980) was a Russian painter. Biography Alexander Gine came from a noble family. He studied at the Kazan Gymnasium, together with Ivan Shishkin. From 1854 to 1856, the artist studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under Sokrat Vorobyov. Gine died on the night of June 3, 1880 in St. Petersburg in extreme poverty and was buried at the Malookhtinsky cemetery. Juan Giné y Partagás (18361903) was a Spanish physician and writer. Biography He was born in Pla de Cabra, Tarragona in the year 1836. He graduated in medicine from the University of Barcelona in 1858. In 1862 he received his doctorate from the University of Madrid. He began his professional career as a rural doctor. In 1863 he was appointed as the assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona, while settling in Barcelona. In 1866 he moved to Santiago de Compostela, where he became a professor. During his tenure at the University of Barcelona, he held the Chair of Hygiene from 1868 and the surgical clinic from 1871. From 1892 until his death he served as rector at the University of Barcelona. In addition to his teaching activities, Giné i Partagàs had been the director of the Nueva Belén asylum. Mary Gine Riley (April 22, 1883 - February 1, 1939) was an American painter. Her middle name is sometimes given as Grimes. Riley was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Charles Valentine Riley and Emilie Conzelman Riley, and spent most of her life in that city. A 1904 graduate of Wellesley College, she studied art at the Corcoran School of Art from 1907 to 1908, from 1910 to 1911, and in 1913; she also studied in New York with L. Birge Harrison and Henry Bayley Snell. In 1911 she first exhibited work with the Society of Washington Artists, on whose governing board she would serve for a number of years and whose vice-president she became in 1930. Uri Giné (; born Oriol Giné de Lera; August 24, 1986) is a Spanish musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the alternative rock band Bongo Botrako from their formation in 2007 until their indefinite hiatus announcement in 2015. Early life Giné, the second of three children, was born and raised in Tarragona, Spain, a city just south of Barcelona. His mother, Maria José de Lera, is a nurse, and his father, Josep Giné, is a retired software developer.
