"Gimme Shelter" is a song by English Rock music, rock band the Rolling Stones. Written by Jagger–Richards, Jagger-Richards, it is the opening track of the band's 1969 album ''Let It Bleed''. Richie Unterberger (born January 19, 1962) is an American author and journalist whose focus is popular music and travel writing. Bernard Alfred "Jack" Nitzsche ( '; April 22, 1937 – August 25, 2000) was an American musician, arranger, songwriter, composer, and record producer.
