Gilles Bouleau
Gilles Bouleau (born 25 May 1962) is a French journalist. As a journalist and reporter on TF1 and LCI for several years, he spent several years in other countries as a correspondent in London and Washington. Head of special operations since 2011, he became the news anchor of the ''Journal de 20 heures'' on TF1 since June 2012, succeeding Laurence Ferrari. Early life and education Gilles Bouleau was born in Paris but spend his childhood in Colombes in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. He studied and graduated at the Centre de Formation des Journalistes (CFJ) of Paris and at the Institut d'Études Politiques of Paris (Sciences Po). 2016 Cannes Film Festival
The 69th Cannes Film Festival was held from 11 to 22 May 2016. Australian director George Miller was the President of the Jury for the main competition. French actor Laurent Lafitte was the host for the opening and closing ceremonies. On 15 March it was announced that Japanese director Naomi Kawase would serve as the Cinéfondation and Short Film Jury president. American director Woody Allen's film ''Café Society'' opened the festival. The Palme d'Or was awarded to the British film ''I, Daniel Blake'' directed by Ken Loach, which also served as closing film of the festival. At a press conference, Loach said that he was "quietly stunned" to win. 7 July 2005 London Bombings
The 7 July 2005 London bombings, often referred to as 7/7, were a series of four coordinated suicide attacks carried out by Islamic terrorists in London that targeted commuters travelling on the city's public transport system during the morning rush hour. Three terrorists separately detonated three homemade bombs in quick succession aboard London Underground trains across the city and, later, a fourth terrorist detonated another bomb on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square. The train bombings occurred on the Circle line near and at Edgware Road, and on the Piccadilly line near . Claire Chazal
Claire Chazal () (born 1 December 1956) is a French journalist, romance writer, and former director of news at a national television station, France 2. She had been the weekend news anchor at TF1 beginning in 1991, and gave her final broadcast at the station on September 13, 2015; Anne-Claire Coudray, who had often substituted for her when she was absent, was announced as her replacement. Between 2010 and 2015, she had also been the host of ''Reportage'' at 1.30pm, after the news. 2017 French Presidential Election
The 2017 French presidential election was held on 23 April and 7 May 2017. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a runoff was held between the top two candidates, Emmanuel Macron of En Marche! (EM) and Marine Le Pen of the National Front (FN), which Macron won with a difference of more than 30% of the vote. The presidential election was followed by a legislative election to elect members of the National Assembly on 11 and 18 June. 2015 French Regional Elections
Regional elections were held in France on 6 and 13 December 2015. At stake were the regional councils in metropolitan and overseas France including the Corsican Assembly and inaugural seats in the Assembly of French Guiana and Assembly of Martinique, all for a six-year term. The Departmental Council of Mayotte, which also exercises the powers of a region, was the only region not participating in this election, having already been renewed on 2 April 2015. There were 18 regional presidencies at stake, with 13 in mainland France and Corsica, as well as 5 overseas. Jean-Claude Narcy (born 16 January 1938) is a French journalist and news anchor who has presented the daily news in the evening and at night on TF1. Early life and education Jean-Claude Narcy was born in Tours in the department of Indre-et-Loire, the son of Marc Louis Georges Narcy, an employee in an agricultural machinery company, and Audette Lachaud, an employee in a clothing company. He is the eldest of five brothers and two sisters, and spent his childhood in a district of Tours. Harry Roselmack (born 20 March 1973 in Tours) is a French radio and TV journalist of Martiniquan descent. Career Harry Roselmack graduated with degrees in History ( DEUG) and Journalism (DUT). He began to work for a local radio station, during this period. Then, he wrote some sports articles for a regional news paper La Nouvelle République du Centre-Ouest. Roselmack worked with Radio France in 2000 (France Bleu, France Info) before joining Canal+.
