Gilgamesh (comics)
The Forgotten One (also known as Hero and Gilgamesh) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in ''The Eternals'' #13 (July 1977) and was created by Jack Kirby. He is a member of the near-immortal hidden race known as the Eternals. He has also been a member of the Avengers. Don Lee portrayed Gilgamesh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in '' Eternals'' (2021). Daniel Acuña
Daniel Acuña (born 1974) is a Spanish comic book artist. Early life In college, Daniel Acuña studied painting and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. He cites his early influences as Jack Kirby, the Romitas ( Senior and Junior), Will Eisner, Simon Bisley, Kevin Nowlan, Hal Foster, and his favorite, Richard Corben, along with fine artists such as Edward Hopper, and Alfons Mucha, as well as illustrator Drew Struzan. Career His first published work was a 22-page black and white project, ''Claus & Simon in Hollywood'', with fellow artist Santi Arcas, which was bought by Spanish publisher La Cupula when Acuña was 22. This work was followed by ''Claus & Simon: Freakshow'', and ''Claus & Simon: Disaster Box''. The "Claus & Simon" series is about the adventures of a clown and an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Sprite (Eternal)
Sprite is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in ''The Eternals'' #9 (March 1977), and was created by Jack Kirby. Although physically a child, Sprite is an Eternal, a member of an ancient and extremely powerful immortal race, who is commonly depicted as a mischievous trickster figure. Since 2019, Sprite has been depicted as alternatively male and female in comics (via the plot element of rebirth) due to their (then-unreleased) depiction as the latter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In ancient Mesopotamian mythology, the Bull of Heaven is a mythical beast fought by the hero Gilgamesh. The story of the Bull of Heaven has two different versions: one recorded in an earlier Sumerian poem and a later version in the standard Akkadian ''Epic of Gilgamesh''. In the Sumerian poem, the Bull is sent to attack Gilgamesh by the goddess Inanna for reasons that are unclear. The more complete Akkadian account comes from Tablet VI of the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', in which Gilgamesh refuses the sexual advances of the goddess Ishtar, the East Semitic equivalent of Inanna, leading the enraged Ishtar to demand the Bull of Heaven from her father Anu, so that she may send it to attack Gilgamesh in Uruk. Ghaur () is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Universe, he is the head of the Deviant race's priesthood.
