Gilbert Facchinetti
Gilbert Facchinetti (28 January 1936 – 6 July 2018) was an Italian-Swiss entrepreneur, best known as president of Neuchâtel Xamax. Biography Facchinetti was born in Lausanne, Switzerland to a family from Italy. After a butcher's apprenticeship, he played at Servette FC and later received an offer from Genoa, with a salary of 6,000 Swiss francs per month. When his uncle died, Facchinetti was pushed by his father to enter the family business, which was an architectural firm. He played one last match in the national league in 1969 with FC Cantonal Neuchâtel. Ten years later, in 1979, he took over the management of Neuchâtel Xamax, a club created by the merger between FC Cantonal Neuchâtel and FC Xamax. A true patriarch, he took his club to two Swiss championship titles in 1987 and 1988. Heinz Hermann
Heinz Hermann (born 28 March 1958) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. With 118 international matches (15 goals) between 1978 and 1991 for the Switzerland national team he is record national player ahead of Alain Geiger and Stéphane Chapuisat. Club Herrmann was born in Zürich. On 1 July 1977, he moved from FC Seefeld Zürich to Grasshopper Club Zürich, where he became Swiss league champion four times and cup champion once. At the end of the season 1984–85 he changed to Neuchâtel Xamax, and he later played for Servette FC and FC Aarau. Between 1984 and 1988 he was awarded Player of the year five years in a row. Gilbert Gress
Gilbert Gress (born 17 December 1941) is a French football coach and a former player. He was the mentor of Arsène Wenger. Club career Gress was born in Strasbourg. He began his professional football career in the city of his birth with RC Strasbourg, where the fans soon nicknamed him the "angel of la Meinau" (''L'ange de la Meinau''; ''Engel von der Meinau'', Meinau is the stadium of the club). Briefly after first playing for Strasbourg (May 1960) the team were relegated to the second division, but returned after one year to Division 1, where Gress played until 1966 and his departure to VfB Stuttgart.
