Gigantes Del Cibao
The Gigantes del Cibao (English: Cibao giants) are a baseball team that plays in the Dominican Winter League. The team was founded in 1996 as ''Gigantes del Noroeste ''then with a change of ownership the name was changed several times, being called Pollos del Cibao, and Pollos Baseball Club. Héctor de la Cruz (born October 12, 1965) is a Dominican professional baseball manager. He played professional baseball for the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball in 1991. Luis A. Dorante (born October 25, 1968, at Coro, Falcón, Venezuela) is the current manager of the Pulaski Yankees in the New York Yankees organization. He had previously served as the Pittsburgh Pirates bullpen coach from 2008 through 2010, as well as with the Florida Marlins in the same capacity during the 2005 campaign. Luis Octavio Natera (born March 22, 1966) is a Dominican professional baseball coach. He was the assistant hitting coach for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball through the 2014 season. Natera is from San Pedro de MacorÃs. He played in Minor League Baseball as a member of the Mets' organization from 1984 through 1988. He has worked for the Mets organization since 1990. John Shoemaker
John Shoemaker (born August 18, 1956) is a former minor league baseball player who is currently manager of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Shoemaker attended Waverly High School and the University of Miami before he was drafted in the 35th round of the 1977 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Shoemaker was also drafted in the 6th round by the Chicago Bulls in the 1978 NBA draft. He played in the Dodgers minor league system, primarily as a second baseman, from 1977-1980, making it all the way up to AAA before retiring to become a coach after the 1981 season. Has been part of the Dodgers organization since 1977.
