Gigafactory 3
Gigafactory Shanghai ( zh, ) (also known as Giga Shanghai, or Gigafactory 3) is the first oversea factory, located in Shanghai, China and operated by Tesla, Inc. The facility currently hosts the final assembly of the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y, with Model Y deliveries slated to begin in January 2021. The factory's initial production rate target is 3,000 cars a week, eventually ramping up to 250,000 electric cars per year. However it tripled the original capacity less than 3 years. The first assembled Model 3s were delivered in December 2019, just twelve months after Tesla began site grading on the Gigafactory in December 2018. The Shanghai municipal government approved the agreement to build the production facility in July 2018, and a long-term lease was signed for about of land in October 2018. Nanhui New City () is a planned city located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China. It was formerly called Lingang New City (临港新城) until it was renamed in April 2012. Construction began in 2003 and is scheduled to be completed in 2020, with the German architecture company Gerkan, Marg and Partners leading the project. The project is estimated to have cost $4.5 billion. The city is aimed to house 450,000 to 800,000 residents while attracting 10 million annual tourists. Location The site is located at the tip of the peninsula between the Yangtze and the Qiantang rivers on Hangzhou Bay. It is approximately 60 kilometers southeast of downtown Shanghai. Cast In Place Concrete
Cast-in-place concrete or Cast-in-situ concrete is a technology of construction of buildings where walls and slabs of the buildings are cast at the site in formwork. This differs from precast concrete technology where slabs are cast elsewhere and then brought to the construction site and assembled. It uses concrete slabs for walls instead of bricks or wooden panels, and formwork is used for both walls and roof. Advantages of this technology are strength of the building, insulation, and versatility for different types of buildings. Ying Yong (; born 17 November 1957) is a Chinese politician who is serving as a Deputy Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
