Gift Of Life
Podari Zhizn (russian: Подари жизнь) is a countrywide Russian non-governmental charitable organization founded in 2006 by actresses Dina Korzun and Chulpan Khamatova. It has sister charities in the United Kingdom (Gift of Life) and in the United States (Podari.Life). The main goal of the foundation is treatment, support and rehabilitation of children and young adults with oncological, hematological and other life-threatening conditions in Russia and CIS. History The Russian branch of the organization was founded on 26 November 2006 by famous Russian actresses Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun. The idea was proposed by Galina Chalikova, who then became the first director of the organization, and by oncohematologists Galina Novichkova, Alexei Maschan, and Mikhail Maschanov. The World Children's Winners Games () better known as ''The Winners games'' are international sports competitions for young cancer survivors. The project was launched by the Podari Zhizn Foundation in 2010. Since 2018 regional stages of the Winners Games are held not only in Russia but in other countries as well. Mission The main purpose of the Winners Games is to help children who have overcome cancer get back to normal life and rehabilitate after the long battle with the disease. Project participants gain self-confidence, and learn that they are not different from other children, so they can lead the same active life they had led before, since sport is the very opposite of the disease. Mumiy Troll (russian: Му́мий Тро́лль ) is a Russian rock music, rock group, founded in 1983 in music, 1983 in Vladivostok by vocalist and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko (). The band's name translates as "mummy troll" and is a pun on ''Moomins, Mumintroll'', the children's books series by Tove Jansson. Ilya Igorevich Lagutenko (russian: Илья́ И́горевич Лагуте́нко; born 16 October 1968) is the founder and lead singer of the rock band Mumiy Troll. Career He was born in Moscow, Soviet Union.
