Giese ( ) is an unincorporated community in Wagner Township, Aitkin County, Minnesota, United States, located near Finlayson. The community is located in east-central Minnesota at the junction of State Highway 18 ( MN 18) and Aitkin County Road 23 (130th Place). Giese is near the southeast corner of Aitkin County, near the county line with Pine County Pine County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 28,876. Area code 320 is the telephone numbering plan code covering most of central Minnesota, excluding the Twin Cities metro. It was the fourth Minnesota area code, and the first new one in the state in 42 years. Minnesota State Highway 18 (MN 18) is a highway in east-central Minnesota, which runs from its intersection with State Highway 25 in Brainerd and continues east to its eastern terminus at its intersection with State Highway 23 in Finlayson Township near Askov and Sandstone. The eastern terminus of Highway 18 is less than 1/2 mile west of an interchange with Interstate Highway 35 along Highway 23.
