Giedrė Lukšaitė-Mrázková
Giedrė Lukšaitė-Mrázková (born 1944) is a Lithuanian–Czech harpsichordist and organist. Lukšaitė was born to the family of educator and cultural historian Meilė Lukšienė in Kaunas, Lithuania. She studied the organ and piano at the Musical Academy in Vilnius and the P. I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow. She completed her studies at the Musical College of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1974. Her professor was organist Jiří Rheinberger. Afterwards, she studied harpsichord with Zuzana Růžičková. As a professor of the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, she has collaborated with Jaroslav Tůma, Gabriela Demeterová, and with many orchestras (the Dresden Philharmonic, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, etc.). Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra
The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra (LCO) () is a chamber orchestra based in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was established by Saulius Sondeckis in 1960, giving its first performance on April 30, 1960. Along with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Čiurlionis Quartet, early music ensemble Musica Humana and the Vilnius String Quartet, the LCO is a resident group of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society, National Philharmonic Hall. About The orchestra generally performs works of Lithuanian composers, and premiered works by Alfred Schnittke, Arvo Pärt and Pēteris Vasks.
