Giant Barn Swing
Giant Barn Swing is a Screamin' Swing style amusement ride designed and built by American manufacturer S&S – Sansei Technologies located at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Assembly for this ride began in January 2007 and it was opened on April 14, 2007. The ride was and installed by Ride Entertainment Group. Ride experience The Giant Barn Swing is loaded, and sometimes operators will only operate one pendulum to save electricity if few people are in line for the ride. The restraint consists of an over-the-lap bar with a safety belt attached on the end in case the lap bar comes up during the ride. Due to the lap bar, some larger people may not be able to ride. The ride begins by swinging forward and backwards, slowly starting to swing higher and higher. Silver Dollar City is a amusement park in Stone County, Missouri, near the cities of Branson and Branson West. The park is located off of Missouri Route 76 on the Indian Point peninsula of Table Rock Lake. Silver Dollar City opened on May 1, 1960. Screamin' Swing is a pneumatically powered pendulum ride designed and manufactured by S&S - Sansei Technologies. The ride was first installed and operated in 2004 at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, United States. On February 26th 2022 the tallest and fastest screaming swing in the world opened to SeaWorld San Antonio pass holders and to the public on March 5, 2022. Design and operation The original Screamin' Swing consists of a A-frame, supporting two arms. Each arm supports two rows of seating, back to back. The first Screamin' Swings developed had four seats per arm with two arms.
