Azul No Azul
''Azul no Azul'' (English title: ''Blue in Blue'') is a short Portuguese experimental film created by Italian filmmaker Gianmarco Donaggio and Portuguese painter Nelson Ferreira. The film was produced and distributed in collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Portugal, and it premiered at the museum on the 28th of July 2022, after which it was exhibited in the cinema of the museum from the 29th of July until the 15th of September 2022. A second version was created for Soares dos Reis National Museum to celebrate the 150 years of the sculpture ‘''The Exiled''’ by António Soares dos Reis and screened at the museum from the 10th of December 2022 until 19 March 2023. The city of Lucca projected it on a loop for a week. Listed by Berlinale Talents when the director was nominated as Talent in 2024. The Pesaro International Film Festival (Pesaro Film Festival) is one of the most important Italian film festivals, representing historically an alternative to the Venice film festival for what concerns both for the political view and the choices of films it screened. The festival of Pesaro, especially in its early years, kept an agenda of praising and discussing the craft of cinema without following the film star system. Berlinale Talents, formerly Berlinale Talent Campus, is the talent development programme of the Berlin International Film Festival (also called Berlinale). Non-narrative Film
Non-narrative film is an aesthetic of cinematic film that does not narrate, or relate "an event, whether real or imaginary". It is usually a form of art film or experimental film, not made for mass entertainment. Narrative film is the dominant aesthetic, though non-narrative film is not fully distinct from that aesthetic. While the non-narrative film avoids "certain traits" of the narrative film, it "still retains a number of narrative characteristics". Narrative film also occasionally uses "visual materials that are not representational".
