Gianluca De Angelis (born 23 May 1981) is an Italian footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for FC Sant'Agnello. Club career Parma Born in Castellammare di Stabia, in the Province of Naples, Campania region, De Angelis started his career at a local club in Gragnano, also in the Province of Naples. At age 13 he was signed by Parma F.C., Parma, at that time famous for its youth products. At age 16 Angelis suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but the injury did not end his career. He made his professional debut against S.S. Lazio on 23 May 1999 (the last round of the Serie A season as well as his birthday, by the decision of Alberto Malesani, Malesani), year in which his team won 1998–99 UEFA Cup and 1998–99 Coppa Italia. He then played almost all of his career in Italian Lega Pro Prima Divisione, Serie C1, Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, Serie C2 and their successor. Castellammare di Stabia (; nap, Castiellammare 'e Stabbia) is a ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania region, in southern Italy. It is situated on the Bay of Naples about southeast of Naples, on the route to Sorrento. Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione.
