Gianfranco De Taddeo
Gianfranco de Taddeo (born 7 August 1928) is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1950s. He played as goalkeeper. De Taddeo first played for La Chaux-de-Fonds in the 1949–50 Nationalliga A season. He then played three seasons for BSC Young Boys. He then joined Basel's first team for their 1953–54 season under player-coach René Bader. After playing in seven test games, de Taddeo played his domestic league debut for his new club in the away game on 21 March 1953 as Basel were defeated 1–2 by Grenchen. In that one season that he was with the club, de Taddeo played a total of 13 games for Basel. Five of these games were in the Nationalliga A and eight were friendly games. Following his season with Basel, de Taddeo moved on to play two seasons for Cantonal Neuchatel. FC Grenchen
FC Grenchen is a Swiss football club, based in Grenchen. They currently play in the 2. Liga, and play their matches at the Brühl Stadium. History FC Grenchen was founded in 1906. In 1937 they gained promotion to the top league of Swiss football, Nationalliga A, in these inter-war years they came runners-up in this league three times, and runner up in the cup, but their biggest success came post-war coming second in the league one further time before winning the cup the following season in 1960. They got relegated from the top flight in 1986, and played in Nationalliga B until 1995 when they were relegated to the 1st Liga., where they currently play. René Bader
René Bader (7 August 1922 – 1995) was a Swiss football forward and Trainer. Career Bader played for FC Basel between 1946 and 1953. In 1947 Basel won the Swiss Cup as they beat Lausanne 3–0 in the final at the Stadion Neufeld in Bern. Paul Stöcklin scored two goals and Bader the other. Between 1952 and 1955 and again during the season 1958–59 Bader was trainer of the Basel team. Basel won their first league title in 1953, with club legend Bader as player-manager. Basel ended the season three points ahead of BSC Young Boys.
