Gian Galang
Gian Galang is an American Artist and Illustrator, specializing in images of Martial Arts and Action Sports. Early life and career Galang was born in Los Angeles, but lived in Hong Kong until he was 10, when he then moved to Virginia. He studied at the Virginia Commonwealth University completing dual honors in illustration and graphic design. In his fifth year, he earned the prestigious place as a member of the Wieden & Kennedy 12. As a child he partook in Karate and Muay Thai and formed the basis of his inspiration. Other inspirations for his work came from video games and comic books. He credits the inspiration for his art style to George Pratt, one of his teachers at University. His career began when he started placing images of his artwork on social media sites, such as Tumblr and Reddit. George Pratt (artist)
George Pratt (born October 13, 1960) is an United States, American Painting, painter and illustrator known for his work in the comic book field. Biography In 1980, at the age of 19, George Pratt left his native Beaumont, Texas, Beaumont, Texas, and moved to New York City to study drawing and painting at the Pratt Institute. Comics Pratt's first published comics work was for Marvel Comics' ''Epic Illustrated'' #20 (1983). Since then, his work has appeared in ''Heavy Metal (magazine), Heavy Metal'', ''Eagle (comic), Eagle'', and many other publications. He has also inked other artists' work and created painted covers for DC Comics. In 1990, DC published Pratt's first graphic novel, ''Enemy Ace: War Idyll'', which was nominated for both the Eisner Award and the Harvey Award.
