Giambattista Busi
Giambattista Busi (born 21 April 1968) is an Italian former racing driver who most recently competed in the 1996 Spanish Supertouring Championship season, with other appearances at the Italian Superturismo Championship in 1996 for Motortrend, the Japanese Touring Car Championship in 1994 and 1995 for Unicorse and International Formula 3000 in 1992 for Piemme Motors. Racing career Formula 3 (1998-1991) Busi began his Italian Formula 3 career with the Trivalleto Racing Team in 1988, before moving to Benecchi Corse in 1989 and Piemme Motors in 1991 (although he did have an outing with the team in 1990 at the Monaco F3 race, but he did not qualify). His career with the team was very successful, getting 2 wins and 5 podiums and winning the championship, beating rival and eventual Formula One driver Domenico Schiattarella. The Volkswagen Motorsport was a works rally team of the German car manufacturer Volkswagen, who competed in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and Dakar Rally. The team started competing in WRC in 1978 and used different specs of Volkswagen Golfs before leaving the sport in 1990. The Macau Grand Prix ( pt, Grande Prémio de Macau; ) is a motorsport road race for automobiles and motorcycles held annually in Macau. It is the only street circuit racing event in which both cars and motorcycles participate, and one of only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the other being the New Zealand Grand Prix. The first Macau Grand Prix event was held in 1954, as a sports car event. In 1961, the title race became an open-wheel Formula Libre event. Mugello Circuit () is a race track in Scarperia e San Piero, Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The circuit length is . It has 15 turns and a long straight. The circuit stadium stands have a capacity of 50,000. Grand Prix motorcycle racing host an annual event at the circuit (for MotoGP and smaller classes). Sendai Hi-Land Raceway was a motor racing circuit in 12 Hayasaka, Shinkawa, Aoba-ku, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. In the 1990s, Sendai hosted rounds of the Japanese Touring Car Championship and Japanese Grand Touring Championship. It also hosted All-Japan Formula Three Championship races until 2007. Super Touring
Super Touring, Class 2 or Class II was a motor racing Touring Cars category defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for national touring car racing in 1993. It was based on the "2 litre Touring Car Formula" created for the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 1990. The FIA organised a World Cup for the category each year from 1993 to 1995, and adopted the term "Super Tourer" from 1995. Super Touring replaced Group A as the norm in nearly every touring car championship across the world, but escalating costs, and the withdrawal of works teams caused the category to collapse in the late 1990s.
