Giacomo Modica
Giacomo Modica (born May 31, 1964) is an Italian football manager and former midfielder who formerly was a technical collaborator for Zdeněk Zeman, and is the current head coach of Vibonese in the Serie D league. Career As manager After a playing career spent with several Serie B and Serie C1 teams, most notably Palermo and Padova, he moved into coaching, working as Zdeněk Zeman's assistant for six years (even following him at Fenerbahçe) before becoming a head coach himself. In 2004, he worked for Serie D team Cosenza with little fortune; he then worked for Serie C2 teams Melfi in 2006 and Celano the following year, leading the latter to an impressive season and a spot in the promotion playoffs. He agreed a one-year extension to his contract with Celano in July 2010. Mazara Del Vallo
Mazara del Vallo (; ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Trapani, southwestern Sicily, Italy. It lies mainly on the left bank at the mouth of the Mazaro river. It is an agricultural and fishing centre and its port gives shelter to the largest fishing fleet in Italy. Recently it has been a hotspot for migrants from North Africa. History Etymology and origins Mazara was founded by the Phoenicians in the 9th century BC with the name of ''Mazar'' who made it an important mercantile emporium. The discovery of Phoenician vases demonstrate the existence of a Phoenician port built between the 6th and 5th centuries BC. Serie C1
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football (soccer), football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Carlo Perrone (born 12 October 1960 in Rome) is an Italian professional football manager and a former player. Career Playing career Perrone played 7 seasons (72 games) in the Serie A for S.S. Lazio, A.S. Roma and Ascoli Calcio 1898. Coaching career As a coach, he led A.S. Pescina Valle del Giovenco to promotion to 2009–10 Lega Pro Prima Divisione. The Serie C () is the third-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie B and Serie A.
