Gia Margaret
Gia Margaret is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Chicago, Illinois. She was trained in classical piano as a child and began pursuing a degree in music before ending both endeavors because they were “creatively limiting”. Margaret has had various jobs prior to becoming a musician, including a nanny, book store clerk, and dental assistant. She released her first full length album, There’s Always Glimmer, in July 2018. She describes the genre of her music as “sleep rock,” and has been compared to everyone from Imogen Heap to Postal Service. Margaret has been steadily rising in popularity in the music industry and has 464,994 monthly listeners on Spotify as of March 7, 2020. Touring In 2019, she toured around the United States with Welsh alternative folk singer-songwriter Novo Amor. In September of that year, she went on her first headlining tour in the UK. Ali John Meredith-Lacey (born 11 August 1991), better known under the moniker Novo Amor, is a Welsh multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, sound designer and producer. Lacey rose to prominence after the release of his debut EP ''Woodgate, NY'' in March 2014. Career Lacey was born on 11 August 1991 and raised in Llanidloes, Wales and now resides in Cardiff. ''Drift,'' a two-track single self-released in 2012, was Lacey's first release as Novo Amor. Lacey's first Novo Amor EP, ''Woodgate, NY'', was released 31 March 2014 on Norwegian label Brilliance Records. SXSW
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. Audiotree is an American music record label located in Chicago, founded in 2011. The company records and publishes live music sessions. It also promotes artists and organizes live events, and invites artists from around the world to enter a professional studio setting, to record, perform, and release a live EP free of cost. History Audiotree was founded in 2011 in Chicago by Michael Johnston and Adam Thurston, who saw the potential for a viable business recording live sessions for artist and sharing the revenue from sales.
