Shah Ghulam Ali Dehlavi
Shah Abdullah alias Shah Ghulam Ali Dehlavi (1743–1824, Urdu:) was a Sufi Shaykh in Delhi during the early 19th century. He was a master of the Naqshbandi tradition and in other Sufi orders such as Chishti. Biography He was born in 1156 AH (1743 C.E.) in Patiala, Punjab, in present-day India. His father was Shah Abdul-Latif, a scholar and Sufi shaykh belonging to the Qadri tariqah. It is reported in his biographies that his father had a dream before his birth in which he saw Sayyadna Ali, who told him to name the baby on his name (''Ali''). After he grew up, he modified his own name to be Ghulam Ali (literally meaning slave of Ali, a common name in Indian Muslims today). Similarly, his mother had a dream in which she saw Muhammad, who told her to name the baby ''Abdullah''. Hence his real name is still known as Abdullah while his alias is Ghulam Ali. Mir Ghulam Ali
Mir Ghulam Ali Khan was an official and Vakil of Tipu Sultan who was made custodian of Tipu's sons to be handed over to Britishers as ransome for 3 years till the financial terms were fulfilled. Mir Ghulam Ali khan was the Home Minister of Tippu Sultan. He is said to have led a delegation to Constantinople to the Ottoman Empire, and had also visited France. After the fall of Tippu Sultan in 1799, Ghulam Ali was arguably pensioned off by the British. Ghulam Ali Allana known as G. Allana (22 August 1906 – 8 March 1985) was a friend and biographer of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan. Mr Allana entered politics at an early age and played an active part in the Pakistan movement. After Partition, he was instrumental in forming the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He was a member of the West Pakistan Legislative Assembly, besides being the mayor of Karachi. Internationally, Mr Allana represented Pakistan at over 100 conferences, served on the governing body of the International Labour Organisation, and the president of the International Organisation of Employers, Brussels. Gholam Ali-khan ( Persian: غلام علی) was the khan (governor) of the Erivan khanate, who came to power at the age of 15 and ruled for 8 months from 1783 to 1784. The eldest son of the past Hoseyn Ali Khan. Biography He was born in Yerevan in a family of khans and belonged to the Qovanlu branch of the Qajar tribe. After the death of his father, the previous khan, his coming to power in the Erivan khanate was unequivocally assessed by the Yerevan nobility, because they considered him not so reliable. Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel ( fa, غلامعلی حداد عادل, born 9 May 1945) is an Iranian philosopher, conservative and principlist politician and former chairman of the Parliament. He is currently member of the Expediency Discernment Council. He was the first non-cleric in the post since the Iranian Revolution of 1979. He was one of the candidates in the 2013 presidential election but withdrew on 10 June, four days before the election. He is part of "neo-principalist" group in the Iranian political scene. Early life and education Haddad-Adel was born in Tehran on 9 May 1945 into a business family.
