''Ghosts of the Social Dead'' is the third album from Australian nu metal band Superheist Superheist is an Australian metal band, which formed in 1993. They have released two EPs, thirteen singles, one compilation/live album and four studio albums, two of which, 2001's ''The Prize Recruit'' and 2002's ''Identical Remote Controlled R ..., released on 28 October 2016. The album was announced on 26 June 2016 via social media, and a music video was released for the track "Hands Up High" on the band's YouTube channel on 10 August 2016. The second single "Fearing Nothing" was released on 7 October. The third single Wolves in your Headspace and accompanying music video was released on 27 November. Superheist is an Australian metal band, which formed in 1993. After a twelve-year hiatus, their 2016 comeback album "Ghosts of the Social Dead" reached No. 3 on the AIR Charts and remained in the Top 10 for four weeks. Four of the group's singles, "Crank the System" (November 2000), "Bullet" (March 2001), " 7 Years" (May 2002) and "A Dignified Rage" (September 2002), each peaked in the Top 50 on the related ARIA Singles Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2001 Kalju Tonuma was nominated for Producer of the Year and Engineer of the Year for his work on ''The Prize Recruit''. New, Rare, Live
''New, Rare, Live'' is a 2004 compilation album by the Australian band Superheist. It includes the band's final recorded songs with earlier songs and live recordings of the group's final concert at Melbourne in 2003. Background In mid 2003 Superheist began working on their third studio album. However, after a turbulent second half of the year touring, loss of management and an eventual disastrous band breakup, the album was never completed. There were however four new tracks completed featuring Joey Biro on vocals ("Seasons, Get A Life, Vultures and Hole in the Head") and an additional single, "The Road", with Cam Baines of Bodyjar on lead vocals. These five tracks were later released with a bunch of B-sides from Supeheist's back catalog and this became disc 1 of ''New, rare, Live''. ''Sidewinder'' is the fourth album from Australian nu metal band Superheist, released on 3 May 2019 through Black Mountain Music. The album was announced on 1 April 2019 alongside the release of the first single "The Riot", and a music video for the track was released on the band's YouTube channel the same day. It is the first Superheist release to feature bassist Si Durrant since 2000's ''8 Miles High'' and the first album to feature guitarist Keir Gotcher and former Devil You Know (now known as Light the Torch) drummer John Sankey. It is the final album to feature vocalist Ezekiel Ox before his departure in July 2020. At the AIR Awards of 2020, the album was nominated for Best Independent Heavy Album or EP.
