Ghosts (band)
Ghosts were an English indie pop band, formed in Cranleigh in 2006. The band comprised singer-songwriter/guitarist Simon Pettigrew, drummer Jonny Harris, bassist Robbie Smith and keyboard player Mark Treasure. A legal tussle with their label Atlantic Records resulted in the band being unable to record for two years. Despite plans for members Pettigrew, Harris and Smith to reform in 2011, it was confirmed in 2012 that the band had split up. History Pettigrew, Harris and Treasure met at school in Cranleigh and played together in bands for a decade before forming Ghosts. The trio first played together in 1995 as Prodigal Sun, a band they would later describe as being terrible whom played Britpop covers and were once booed off stage, and Polanski, an electronica influenced act with frontman Andy Zuk and bassist Robbie Smith. Polanski were played on BBC Radio 1 and attracted nearly 100 A&R scouts to one gig in 2003, but failed to secure a record deal. After Zuk left, Hong Kong born ...

Cranleigh
Cranleigh is a village and civil parish, about southeast of Guildford in Surrey, England. It lies on a minor road east of the A281, which links Guildford with Horsham. It is in the north-west corner of the Weald, a large remnant forest, the main local remnant being Winterfold Forest directly north-west on the northern Greensand Ridge. Etymology Until the mid-1860s, the place was usually spelt Cranley. The Post Office persuaded the vestry to use "''-leigh''" to avoid misdirections to nearby Crawley in West Sussex. The older spelling is publicly visible in the ''Cranley Hotel''. The name is recorded in the '' Pipe Rolls'' as ''Cranlea'' in 1166 and ''Cranelega'' in 1167. A little later in the '' Feet of Fines'' of 1198 the name is written as ''Cranele''. Etymologists consider all these versions to be the fusion of the Old English words "Cran", meaning " crane", and "Lēoh" that together mean 'a woodland clearing visited by cranes'. The name is popularly believed to come from imp ...

Don't Cha
"Don't Cha" is a song written by Busta Rhymes and CeeLo Green, and produced by the latter. The chorus is an interpolation of the song "Swass", which was written and performed by Sir Mix-a-Lot. The song was originally recorded and published by Tori Alamaze, former backing vocalist for the hip hop duo OutKast, and was released as her debut single. After minor success and dissatisfaction with Universal Records, Alamaze gave up her rights to the song. Universal offered the song to the American burlesque dance troupe the Pussycat Dolls, who were about to reinvent as a pop music girl group. The group re-recorded "Don't Cha" with Busta Rhymes and released it as the lead single from their debut studio album '' PCD'' (2005). The Pussycat Dolls' version received positive reviews from music critics, many of whom highlighted it as a standout track from ''PCD''; however, some of them criticized Busta Rhymes' appearance. The song was a commercial success, peaking at number two on the US ''Bi ...
