Ghost Rider (shadow)
Mount Hosmer is a mountain of the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia, Canada. It shares its name with the adjacent community of Hosmer, but its best-known elevation, a series of south-facing cliffs, can be seen from further down the Elk Valley in Fernie. The mountain is an upside down mountain, where the oldest part of the rock formation is near the top and the youngest is at the bottom. Ghost Rider Ghost Rider is a shadow, particularly visible during summer evenings, cast on the central southern cliff face of Mount Hosmer. It closely resembles a figure on horseback followed by a second figure on foot. It has become incorporated into local folk legend and become symbolic of the community of Fernie. The Fernie Ghostriders hockey team takes its name from this shadow. Elk Valley (British Columbia)
The Elk Valley is a valley in the southeastern Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. Located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the Elk Valley is approximately 60 kilometres from the Alberta and Montana borders. Two-thousanders are mountains that have a height of at least 2,000 metres above sea level, but less than 3,000 metres. The term is used in Alpine circles, especially in Europe (e.g. German: ''Zweitausender''). The Three Sisters is a mountain immediately north of Fernie, British Columbia, northwest of the confluence of Fairy Creek with the Elk River (British Columbia), Elk River. ''Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road'' is a 2002 philosophical travel memoir by Neil Peart, drummer and main lyricist for the Canadian progressive rock band Rush. It chronicles Peart's long-distance motorcycle riding throughout North and Central America in the late 1990s as he contemplated his life and came to terms with his grief over the deaths of his daughter Selena in August 1997 and his common-law wife Jackie in June 1998. Neil Peart
Neil Ellwood Peart OC (; September 12, 1952 – January 7, 2020) was a Canadian-American musician, best known as the drummer and primary lyricist of the rock band Rush. Peart earned numerous awards for his musical performances, including an induction into the ''Modern Drummer'' Readers Poll Hall of Fame in 1983 at the age of thirty, making him the youngest person ever so honoured. The Fernie Ghostriders are a junior 'B' ice hockey team based in Fernie, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Eddie Mountain Division of the Kootenay Conference of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL).
