Ghost (producer)
Ghost is a Scottish record producer based in London, who primarily produces British hip hop. His stage name is a reference to his tendency to spend a lot of time working in his studio, rather than being seen in public. He has been described by some journalists as one of the UK's top hip hop producers. Ghost also presented the ''Midweek Session'' on London radio station Itch FM. Biography Born in Glasgow, Ghost learnt how to produce music using his father's W30 sampling keyboard and Cubase. Ghost made his debut in 2003 with the ''Ghost Stories'' EP. He was runner up in the Glastonbury Unsigned Talent contest in 2007 and had a track featured on the Glastonbury compilation CD for that year. Scottish People
The Scots ( sco, Scots Fowk; gd, Albannaich) are an ethnic group and nation native to Scotland. Historically, they emerged in the early Middle Ages from an amalgamation of two Celtic-speaking peoples, the Picts and Gaels, who founded the Kingdom of Scotland (or ''Alba'') in the 9th century. In the following two centuries, the Celtic-speaking Cumbrians of Strathclyde and the Germanic-speaking Angles of north Northumbria became part of Scotland. In the High Middle Ages, during the 12th-century Davidian Revolution, small numbers of Norman nobles migrated to the Lowlands. DJ Yoda
Duncan Beiny (born 1977 in London, England), better known as DJ Yoda, is a hip hop turntablist who uses samples to create an animated musical style. He is known for several awards and media industry achievements. Early life and career After attending Highgate School, he studied English and American literature at the University of Warwick from 1995 to 1998. During this period, he began performing at Mojo, a popular Warwick hip hop and soul night at the student's union until he graduated. After he left university, he began releasing underground demo mix-tapes to small music shops. Through the popularity of these tapes, Antidote Records asked him to create an official mixtape, from which ''How to Cut & Paste Mix Tape Vol.1'' was released. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. ''Breakin''' (also known as ''Breakdance'' in the United Kingdom and ''Break Street '84'' in other regions) is a 1984 American breakdancing-themed musical film directed by Joel Silberg and written by Charles Parker and Allen DeBevoise based on a story by Parker, DeBevoise and Gerald Scaife. The film's setting was inspired by a 1983 documentary titled ''Breakin' 'n' Enterin, set in the multi-racial hip hop club Radio-Tron, based out of MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. RDU 98.5FM is a student radio station operating from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. It broadcasts on a frequency of 98.5 MHz, and is a member of the b.net group of stations, all of which are run from New Zealand University campuses. RDU began in 1976 on 1420kHz. During the period 1977 to 1985 the station was on 1230, 1503 (3XU) and 1422 kHz (3XB). FM broadcasts started in 1986 on 90.5 MHz and moved to 98.3 MHz in 1987 until 2003. From November 2001 to November 2018, the London nightclub fabric ran a monthly mix compilation series. Mixed by a variety of emerging and established DJs, the two series were entitled ''fabric'' and ''FABRICLIVE'' respectively. The compilation mixes were released independently by fabric on an alternating monthly basis. In May 2018, fabric announced that the ''fabric'' series would end "in its current form" with its 100th instalment; in October 2018, fabric revealed the final ''fabric'' compilation would be a triple-disc set, mixed by two of the club's residents— Craig Richards and Terry Francis—as well as its founder, Keith Reilly.
