The Ghost of the B ( es, Fantasma de la B) is a joke mainly used by sports fans in Latin America to fans of rival club in danger of descending into "B" Division. 2013 Elections In Argentina
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 27 October 2013. Open primary elections (PASO) were previously held on 11 August 2013 to determine eligible party lists for the general election. As in 2011 – when such primaries were held for the first time – each party list had to reach a 1.5% threshold at the provincial level in order to proceed to the 27 October polls. The elections renewed half of the members of the Chamber of Deputies for the period 2013–2017 and a third of the members of the Senate for the period 2013–2019. Chamber of Deputies (Lower House) elections were held in every district; Senate elections were, in turn, held in the provinces of Chaco, Entre Ríos, Neuquén, Río Negro, Salta, Santiago del Estero, and Tierra del Fuego, as well as in the City of Buenos Aires. Daniel Filmus
Daniel Fernando Filmus (; born June 3, 1955) is an Argentine politician and academic, currently serving as the country's Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, since 2021. Filmus formerly served as a National Senator for the City of Buenos Aires from 2007 to 2013, and as Minister of Education, Science and Technology in the government of President Néstor Kirchner. From 2014 to 2015, and later from 2019 to 2021, he was Secretary of Affairs pertaining to the Malvinas (Falkland Islands). Early life and career Born in La Paternal, Buenos Aires, to María Cecilia Cwik and Salomón Filmus, his mother was an English language teacher of Polish descent, and his father a Jewish immigrant from Bessarabia (now Moldova) who arrived in Argentina in 1928 and became a shopkeeper.
