"Ghetto Cowboy" is the lead single by American hip hop collective Mo Thugs taken from their second studio album '' Chapter II: Family Reunion'', released in 1998 via Mo Thugs/ Relativity Records. It features contributions from Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Powder P, Thug Queen and Layzie Bone's wife Felecia. Produced by Krayzie Bone with co-production by Romeo Antonio, it contains replayed elements from Kenny Rogers' " The Gambler". The single peaked at 15 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 while also reaching the top spot on the Hot Rap Singles chart. Mo Thugs Family
Mo Thugs was an American hip hop collective formed and led by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Together, the Mo Thugs collective released four studio albums from 1995 to 2003. Their logo, a pyramid with a fist above it, is symbolic of their achievements; The pyramid stands for longevity, and the fist stands for victory. History Due to their success in 1996 Bone Thugs established their own Mo Thugs Records to introduce many of the Cleveland-based and other artists that they were developing. WhoSampled
WhoSampled is a website and app database of information about sampled music or sample-based music, cover songs and remixes. History Nadav Poraz founded the site in London, England in 2008, as a way to track musical samples and cover songs. Mobile apps were released in 2012 and 2014 for iPhone and Android, respectively. The website's database is user-generated and reviewed by moderators before the content goes live. As of 2022, the site's most sampled track is the Amen break from the Winstons. In 2015, the site added support for film and television clips. The following year, it partnered with Spotify and introduced a six degrees of separation-inspired game that tracks relationships between artists, producers, and their tracks. The Dogs were a 1990s hip hop group consisting of Disco Rick, Keith Bell, Labrant Dennis, and Fergus "Cracked Up" Smith, best known for "Crack Rock," their hit single with the chant "Yo' Mama's on Crack Rock!" The group released three studio albums '' The Dogs'' in 1990, ''Beware of The Dogs'' in 1991 and ''K-9 Bass'' in 1992. The group officially disbanded in 1996 when Labrant Dennis was arrested for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Timwanika Lumpkins, and her lover Marlin Barnes, a linebacker for the University of Miami football team. Dennis was convicted of the double-murders in 1998, and sentenced to death in 1999. Dennis remains on death row.
