Ghazir Volleyball
Club Ghazir is a professional volleyball team based in Ghazir, Lebanon. It plays in the Lebanese Volleyball League. It has won two times the Lebanese Volleyball League (2003, 2004), and the Lebanese Volleyball Cup twice (1993, 2003). The current president is Jean Hammam. Ghazir Club Court
Antoine Choueiri Stadium is an indoor arena located in Ghazir, Lebanon. The arena has a capacity of between 4,500 and 5,000 spectators. It hosts indoor sporting events such as basketball, volleyball and has hosted the home matches of Club Sagesse Beirut. The stadium bears the colors of Sagesse and also hosts Ghazir Club basketball games and other volleyball matches. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. Ghazir
Ghazir ( ar, غزير) is a town and municipality in the Keserwan District of the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate of Lebanon. It is located north of Beirut. It has an average elevation of 380 meters above sea level and a total land area of . The town has four schools, two public and two private, with a total of 3,253 students as of 2008. Ghazir's name is derived from Arabic root words for "heavy rains", and the town is known for its numerous groundwater reserves.
