Josephine Akosua Adomako Ampofo is a Ghanaian academic who is a professor of Gender Studies and African Studies at the University of Ghana. She is feminist activist-scholar, and a strong advocate for social justice. Early life and education Ampofo's mother is German and her father is Ghanaian and Asante. Francis Agbodeka
Francis Agbodeka was a Ghanaian academic and writer. He was a professor of history at the University of Cape Coast, and the first person to obtain a doctorate degree from the University of Ghana. Early life Agbodeka was born at Anloga in the Volta Region of Ghana (then Gold Coast) on 31 December 1931 to his father Dumega Amuzu Agbodeka and mother Vincentia Agudu. Daniel Afedzi Akyeampong (24 November 1938 – 7 March 2015) was a Ghanaian academic. He was the first Ghanaian to attain full professorship status in mathematics at the University of Ghana, Legon. In 1966, Daniel Akyeampong and Francis Allotey became the first Ghanaians to obtain a doctorate in mathematical sciences. He was the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana from 1983 to 1985. Marian Ewurama Addy (née Cole; 7 February 1942 – 14 January 2014) was a Ghanaian biochemist and the first Host of the National Science and Maths Quiz. The first Ghanaian woman to attain the rank of full professor of natural science, Addy became a role model for school girls and budding female scientists on the limitless opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Henrietta Joy Abena Nyarko Mensa-Bonsu, (born 29 October 1957) is a Supreme Court Judge of the Republic of Ghana. She was nominated by president Nana-Akufo-Addo.
