GfK Entertainment Hip Hop Albums Chart
The GfK Entertainment hip hop albums chart is the official hip hop albums music chart in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International) on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. The chart was officially introduced on 1 April 2015. The chart week runs from Friday to Thursday with the official chart being published on the following Wednesday. The charts are based on sales of physical albums from retail outlets as well as permanent music downloads and streaming. A record chart, in the music industry, also called a music chart, is a ranking of Sound recording and reproduction, recorded music according to certain criteria during a given period. Many different criteria are used in worldwide charts, often in combination. These include record sales, the amount of radio airplay, the number of music download, downloads, and the amount of streaming media, streaming activity. Carlo Waibel (born 31 January 1990), better known by his stage name Cro, is a German rapper, singer, and producer. He describes his music as a mixture between rap and pop, which he calls "raop". He is known for wearing a panda mask on stage. Early life Cro was born Carlo Waibel. He attended the Realschule Galgenberg in Aalen, and later the Johannes-Gutenberg-Schule, a vocational school in Stuttgart. The GfK Entertainment charts are the official music charts in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International), a subsidiary of GfK, on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. GfK Entertainment is the provider of weekly Top 100 single and album charts, as well as various other chart formats for genres like compilations, jazz, classical music, schlager, hip hop, dance, comedy, and music videos. Following a lawsuit in March 2014 by Media Control AG, Media Control® GfK International had to change its name. Dissemination of the charts is conducted by various media outlets, some of which include MTV music channel, and the Swiss charts website. ''Monument'' is the seventh studio album by German rapper Kollegah, released on 7 December 2018 through his own label Alpha Music Empire. Farid Hamed El Abdellaoui ( ar, link=no, فريد العبدلاوي, born 4 June 1986), known professionally as Farid Bang, is a German rapper of Moroccan-Spanish descent. He is currently the owner of the label Banger Musik. Early life Farid Bang was born in Melilla, Spain, and grew up in Málaga. Felix Martin Andreas Matthias Blume (born 3 August 1984), known professionally as Kollegah, is a German rapper. He releases his music via his own label, Alpha Music Empire. 187 Strassenbande (German for "187 streetgang") is a German hip hop and urban music formation joining a great number of German rappers mostly based in Hamburg formed in 2006. It is made up of Gzuz, Bonez MC, Maxwell, LX and Sa4, taggers and graffiti artists Frost, Gel and Track and producer Jambeatz and Lukas H and 95a. Other members included AchtVier, Hasuna and Mosh36 who left for various reasons between 2013 and 2015. The formation is considered part of the gangsta rap movement in Germany. Kristoffer Klauß (; born 29 June 1988), better known by the stage name Gzuz (), is a German rapper. In addition to his solo career, he has had success as part of Hamburg hip hop crew 187 Strassenbande. Biography After his parents divorced, Klauß grew up with his sister and his mother in Hamburg. He was fascinated by the people who earn their money in the streets. Klauß has been a member of 187 Strassenbande since 2006. The name Gzuz is an acronym for "''Ghetto-Zeug unzensiert''" (Ghetto stuff uncensored). In October 2010 he was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for predatory theft.
