Getaneh Kebede
Getaneh Kebede ( am, ጌታነህ ከበደ; born 2 April 1992) is an Ethiopian professional footballer who plays for Ethiopian Premier League club Wolkite City and the Ethiopia national team. Club career Getaneh was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He began his club career with Debub Police, before which he moved to Dedebit. He was the 2013 top scorer of the Ethiopian Premier League. On 19 July 2013, it was announced that Getaneh succeeded in a trial with Bidvest Wits and signed a three-year contract with the team. In September 2016 he joined his old club Dedebit. On 14 August 2018, the 29-time league champions Saint George S.C. announced they had signed Getaneh to a two year contract. Getaneh Molla
Getaneh Tamire Molla (born 10 January 1994) is an Ethiopian male long-distance runner who competes over distances up to 10K. He was the gold medallist in the 5000 metres at the 2015 African Games. Geteneh's first success at national level came at the 2015 Ethiopian Athletics Championships where he won the 5000 m title. This earned him a spot on the national team for the 2015 African Games, where he became champion. In 2016 he won both the national title at the Jan Meda Cross Country and defended his 5000 m title at the track championships. He was outside the individual medals in international competition that year, taking sixth at the 2016 African Cross Country Championships and fourth at the 2016 African Championships in Athletics. He did, however, lead the Ethiopian men's cross country team to bronze in the team event. Genet Getaneh
Genet Getaneh Wendimagegnehu (born 6 January 1986) is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon competitions. She represented Ethiopia at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in 2007 and 2008, finishing fourth at the latter race. She is a two-time winner of the Great Ethiopian Run and won the 2010 Zevenheuvelenloop. She has a personal best of 2:25:38 hours for the marathon and 1:08:18 hours for the half marathon. Career Genet Getaneh grew up in Oromia Region's Arsi Zone in Ethiopia and began running in national level races as a teenager. She was selected to represent Ethiopia at the 2004 Yokohama Women's Ekiden and, leading off on the first 5 km leg, she helped her country to win the race. Ethiopians are the native inhabitants of Ethiopia, as well as the global diaspora of Ethiopia.
