Get Busy Committee
Get Busy Committee (a.k.a. GBC) was a hip hop group consisting of underground rapper Apathy, Styles of Beyond's Ryu, and producer Scoop DeVille. Group Info Get Busy Committee was formed in Los Angeles, California, by longtime friends Ryu, Apathy and Scoop DeVille. They claim their influences come from Eazy-E, BBD (Bell Biv DeVoe), BDP (Boogie Down Productions). All production is done by Scoop DeVille and Apathy, while vocals are given by everyone in the group. Their debut album, ''Uzi Does It'', was released for pre-sale download on October 27, 2009 at www.getbusycommittee.com, and available on iTunes and other outlets on November 10, 2009. The album is a 100% self-funded and self-released independent record. Future As of 2012, Get Busy Committee is on hiatus, or "dead" as they refer to the status of the group. Styles of Beyond was an American underground hip hop group from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. The group consists of MCs Ryan Patrick Maginn (Ryu) and Takbir Bashir (Tak), Colton Raisin Fisher (DJ Cheapshot), and producer Jason Rabinowitz (Vin Skully). They have released two LPs, one mixtape and were heavily featured on Mike Shinoda's Fort Minor project in 2005. At one point they were also signed to Shinoda's Machine Shop Recordings label, although they left the label in late 2008. Fort Minor was a hip hop side project by American musician Mike Shinoda, who is better known as the rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, producer, and rapper of the rock band Linkin Park. The project's only album, ''The Rising Tied'', was released in 2005. The album's fourth single " Where'd You Go" reached No. 4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Chad Bromley (born March 8, 1979), better known by his stage name Apathy (formerly "The Alien Tongue"), is a rapper and producer from Willimantic, Connecticut. Elijah Blue Molina (born October 15, 1987), better known by his stage name Scoop DeVille, is an American record producer, rapper and DJ. DeVille has produced records for rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe. Boogie Down Productions (BDP) was an American hip hop group originally composed of KRS-One, D-Nice, and DJ Scott La Rock. DJ Scott La Rock was murdered on August 27, 1987, five months after the release of BDP's debut album, ''Criminal Minded''. The name of the group, Boogie Down, derives from a nickname for the South Bronx section of New York City. Michael Kenji Shinoda (; ja, 篠田 賢治, Shinoda Kenji; born February 11, 1977) is an American musician, singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer.
