Gesves
Gesves (; wa, Djeve) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. The municipality consists of the following districts: Faulx-les-Tombes, Gesves, Haltinne, Mozet, and Sorée. It also includes the hamlets of Gramptinne, Goyet (site of glacial remnants of Neanderthals), Haut-Bois, and Strud (site where fossil of '' Strudiella devonica'', a Late Devonian insect, was discovered). On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 6,321 inhabitants. Faulx-les-Tombes
Faulx-les-Tombes ( wa, Få-les-Tombes) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Gesves, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Remains of Roman settlements have been discovered in the area, which was settled already during the Paleolithic. After the foundation of the Grandpré Abbey, the village became a dependency on the abbey until the French Revolution. In more recent history, 141 men from the village were deported to Germany in 1916, during World War I and the Rape of Belgium. The village church dates from 1874 and was designed by Hendrik Beyaert in a Romanesque revival style. Haltinne
Haltinne ( wa, Altene) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Gesves, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. A small settlement existed here already during the Roman Empire. During the Middle Ages, the village formed a small fiefdom. In 1914, German artillery was positioned in the village during the siege of Namur in 1914, and during the ensuing German occupation 121 men from the village were deported to Germany in 1916 as part of the Rape of Belgium. The château, , originated as a medieval fortified house and was rebuilt on a larger scale in 1644. Mozet
Mozet is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Gesves, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Although the area has been settled since Roman times, the current village developed around the church and castle of an allod in the early 11th century. During World War I, fighting took place in the village in 1914, during the battle for Fort de Maizeret and Fort d'Andoy. In 1916, 65 men from the village were deported to Germany during the Rape of Belgium. The village is clustered around the village church, which has Romanesque foundations but largely dates from 1775; it was enlarged in 1853. Three fortified farms exist in the village, as well as the ruins of a keep from the 13th century. Hamois
Hamois (; wa, Hamwè) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. The village is around south-east of the city of Namur. On 1 January 2020 the municipality had 7,375 inhabitants. The total area is 76.42 km2, giving a population density of 96.5 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Achet, Emptinne, Hamois, Mohiville, Natoye, Schaltin, and Scy. Mouffrin Castle in Gemenne and Ry Castle are both in Hamois, and continue to be in the possession of the noble Aspremont-Lynden family. Assesse () is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2006, Assesse had a total population of 6,252. The total area is 78.16 km² which gives a population density of 80 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Assesse, Courrière, Crupet, Florée, Maillen, Sart-Bernard, and Sorinne-la-Longue. The village of Crupet is noted for its grotto dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, the Crupet Castle, a moated medieval ''donjon'', and its windmills. Andenne (; wa, Andene) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Andenne had a total population of 25,240.
