Gertie Eggink
Gertie Eggink (born 21 February 1980) is a Dutch sidecarcross rider and the 2010 Sidecarcross World Champion, riding as passenger with Daniël Willemsen. Like the Willemsen brothers Daniël and Marcel Eggink hails from Lochem, Gelderland. Biography Gertie Eggink started racing in the world championship from 2004 onwards with a variety of riders. Eggink raced the 2010 season with multiple world champion Daniël Willemsen after the later had an unsuccessful 2009 season, only coming fifth, suffering a broken collar bone that made him miss some races. Eggink raced with Willemsen in 12 of the 14 Grand Prix of the season, winning 14 races and three Grand Prix. In the last two races of the season however Willemsen had to replace Eggink with Dagwin Sabbe as Eggink was advised by his doctor not to race in the final GP's. In a tight season the pair eventually won the world championship by nine points, ahead of defending champions Joris Hendrickx and Kaspars Liepiņš.< ...

Sven Verbrugge
Sven Verbrugge (Schoten, 21 August 1967) is a retired Belgium, Belgian sidecarcross passenger and triple Sidecarcross World Championship, Sidecarcross World Champion, winning the title in 2005, 2006 and 2011. Verbrugge started racing motocross in 1983 in the 125 cc solo class before becoming a sidecarcross passenger in 1986. In his career, he has raced for over 20 years in the Belgian, Dutch and the world sidecarcross championships. After his second world championship in 2006, Sven retired from the world championship, but felt, according to himself, "homesick" for the GP circus and returned for the 2008 season alongside his countryman Nicky Pulinx. 2014 Sidecarcross World Championship
The 2014 FIM Sidecarcross World Championship, the 35th edition of the competition, started on 13 April and finished after ten Grand Prix weekends on 21 September 2014. The defending champions were Ben Adriaenssen from Belgium and his Dutch passenger Ben van den Bogaart, who won their first title in 2013. The pair defended their title while the Dutch-Latvian combination of Etienne Bax and Kaspars Stupelis finished runners-up for the third consecutive time. Third place went to the British duo of Stuart Brown and Josh Chamberlain, their highest-ever finish. 2013 Sidecarcross World Championship
The 2013 FIM Sidecarcross World Championship, the 34th edition of the competition, started on 1 April and finished after fourteen race weekends on 22 September 2013. The defending champions were Daniël Willemsen from the Netherlands and his passenger Kenny van Gaalen. However, Willemsen competed with two different passengers in 2013, Robbie Bax and Belgian Dagwin Sabbe, but missed most of the season through injuries. The 2013 World Championship was won by Belgian driver Ben Adriaenssen and his Dutch passenger Ben van den Bogaart. It was the first title for both of them. All up, 56 teams were qualified overall, from the World Champions in first spot with 610 points to the 56th placed Lithuanian team of Vytautas and Andžejus Racka on one point. 2011 Sidecarcross World Championship
The 2011 FIM Sidecarcross World Championship, the 32nd edition of the competition, started on 3 April and finished after thirteen race weekends on 11 September 2011. The defending champions were eight time winners Daniël Willemsen from the Netherlands and his passenger Gertie Eggink. In 2011, Willemsen raced with 43-year-old Sven Verbrugge as his passenger, after an injury to first-choice passenger Roman Vasyliaka. Willemsen and Verbrugge were a team for a fifth time in the history of the competition, with the combination winning the 2005 and 2006 titles together.
