Gerry McCabe (footballer)
Gerry McCabe (born 26 September 1956, in Hamilton) is a Scottish football player and coach. Playing career McCabe had a lengthy playing career that lasted almost two decades. He made over 200 league appearances for a Clydebank side that steamrollered through the divisions to the Scottish Premier Division. In 1977, he played abroad in the National Soccer League with Windsor Stars, and the following season with Toronto Italia. In 1990, he played with the Victoria Vistas. Towards the end of his playing career, he started coaching Celtic youth players. Coaching career After retiring as a player McCabe worked as assistant manager to Bobby Williamson at Kilmarnock. McCabe then went on to be assistant manager to Williamson at his next two managerial positions at Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle. Bobby Williamson
Robert Williamson (born 13 August 1961 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football player and manager. Williamson played as a striker for Clydebank, Rangers, West Bromwich Albion, Rotherham United and Kilmarnock. He then became a manager at Kilmarnock, winning the 1996–97 Scottish Cup. Williamson moved to Hibernian in 2002, but had less success there and left in 2004 to manage Plymouth Argyle. He was sacked by Argyle after just over a year in charge. After a short stint with Chester City, Williamson became manager of the Uganda national football team. After a spell with Kenyan Premier League club Gor Mahia during which he won the league title, Williamson was appointed as the manager of Kenya national football team. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Stephen Dobbie
Stephen Dobbie (born 5 December 1982) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He is Senior Professional Development Phase coach at his former club Blackpool. Dobbie is Queen of the South's second-highest goalscorer of all time (166 goals) and the club's record scorer for a single season (43 goals in the 2018-19 season). He started his career in the 2002–03 season at Rangers, followed by spells at Hibernian and St Johnstone. His career was revived by a loan spell at Dumbarton in 2006, and he then scored 55 goals in 105 appearances for Queen of the South in his first spell at Palmerston Park, playing in the club's first-ever appearance in the Scottish Cup Final in 2008. David Bagan (born 26 April 1977 in Irvine, North Ayrshire) is a Scottish former football player who played as a winger. Bagan began his career at Troon before signing for Kilmarnock, where he won the Scottish Cup in 1997. He joined Inverness CT in 2000 after being released by Kilmarnock, then signed for Queen of the South in 2003 after again being released. Paul Martin (born 8 March 1965) is a Scottish football former player and coach. Martin played for Kilmarnock, Hamilton Academical, Stranraer (on loan), Dumbarton, Albion Rovers and Queen's Park during a 17-year playing career. Martin was captain of the Dumbarton Second Division title-winning team of 1991–92.
