Gerry Collins (footballer)
Gerard Collins (born 12 March 1955) is a Scottish former football player and coach who managed Falkirk and Partick Thistle for short spells. Collins was assistant manager to John Lambie at both clubs before being promoted to manager. Playing career Collins turned out for Stranraer, Albion Rovers, Ayr United, Hamilton Academical and Partick Thistle during an eleven-year playing career. Coaching career Hamilton Academical Collins and Lambie first teamed up in 1985 when the former was a player with Hamilton and the pair have been together ever since. Success quickly followed as Lambie and Collins led the Accies to the First Division title in 1985–86 and a shock Scottish Cup defeat of Rangers at Ibrox the following season. Stephen Craigan
Stephen James Craigan (born 29 October 1976) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer. He played in central defence, and spent his entire playing career in Scotland, playing for Motherwell (twice) and Partick Thistle. He has also played for the Northern Irish national team. He is currently a studio pundit for BT Sport's coverage of the SPFL and the Scottish League Cup. Club career A boyhood Glentoran fan, Craigan started his career in Scotland with Motherwell in 1994 when he was signed by Alex McLeish. However, after only twenty-six appearances, he was released on a free transfer. Andy Thomson (Scottish Footballer)
Andrew Thomson (born 1 April 1971) is a Scottish former professional footballer. Thomson played in 548 league matches, scoring 194 league goals in a career that saw him play for Queen of the South, Partick Thistle, Falkirk and Stenhousemuir in Scotland and Southend United, Oxford United, Gillingham and Queens Park Rangers in England. Playing career Queen of the South (first spell) Thomson was born in Motherwell. He signed on 28 July 1989 for Dumfries club Queen of the South from Motherwell-based boys' club Jerviston as an 18-year-old. As Thomson became more experienced the goals started to flow and never stopped in his five seasons at Palmerston Park. Arguably his finest achievement with Queens was the 1990–91 Scottish League Cup run to the quarter finals, where Queens eliminated higher division opponents Dundee and Dunfermline Athletic, before being defeated by a late goal versus Celtic at Parkhead.
