German Fernandez
German Fernandez (born November 2, 1990) is a retired American professional runner from Riverbank, California, known for his performance in high school and collegiate cross country and track and field. Later he trained under Jerry Schumacher for the Bowerman Track Club. He is most well known for running the California Cross Country State Meet course record (14:24), as well as running a new American high-school record, 8:34.40 for two miles, at the 2008 Nike Outdoor Nationals championship. He also holds the World Junior Indoor Mile record at 3:55.02. A local meet in Riverbank, California, the German Fernandez Distance Carnival, is named after him. German Lvovich Sterligov (russian: Герман Львович Стерлигов; born 18 October 1966) is a Russian businessman. Life and career German Sterligov was born in Zagorsk (today Sergiyev Posad), Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. He attended college but eventually dropped out. In 1990, during the dissolution period of the USSR, he was instrumental in the founding of the Russian commodities exchange. The exchange is named after his dog, Alisa. After starting a successful company at the age of 24, Sterligov became Russia's first official millionaire. His company employed more than 2,500 people and had offices in New York City and London. German Gardiner
German Gardiner (Germain, Jermyn) (date of birth unknown; executed at Tyburn, 7 March 1544) was a Roman Catholic layman and nephew to Stephen Gardiner who became involved in the Prebendaries' Plot against Thomas Cranmer. Henry VIII was becoming more severe on Protestants and Cranmer fell under suspicion. Gardiner was (or was thought to have been) employed in drawing up a list of Cranmer's errors in the Faith. His condemnation was part of a deal with which Cranmer gained the king's full support: Cranmer's higher-ranked enemies were allowed to remain in place, while a charge of collusion with Cardinal Pole was brought against Gardiner. He wrote a tract against John Frith, dated 1 August 1534. Gardiner's indictment states that he was executed for endeavouring "to deprive the King of his dignity, title, and name of Supreme Head of the English and Irish Church". German Anđelić ( sr-Cyrl, Герман Анђелић; 1822–1888) was the Patriarch of Karlovci, the spiritual leader of Habsburg Serbs, from 1881 until his death in 1888. Biography He was son of Pavle Anđelić, parish priest of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Sremski Karlovci, and his wife Ana. German Mikhailovich Titov (russian: Герман Михайлович Титов; born October 16, 1965) is a Russian former professional ice hockey forward. Playing career Titov started his career with Khimik Voskresensk of the Soviet Hockey League. He remained with the team until 1992 when he spent one season in Finland's SM-liiga for TPS, where he scored 25 goals in 47 games. At 27, Titov was drafted 252nd overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut with the Flames in the 1993–94 season. The 1995–96 season was Titov's best NHL season, scoring 28 goals and 37 assists for 67 points. In 1998, Titov was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins but was unable to match the same goal-scoring production he achieved at Calgary. German Anatolyevich Skurygin (russian: Герман Анатольевич Скурыгин; September 15, 1963 – November 28, 2008) was a Russian race walker. He was born in Vutno. He originally won a gold medal at the 1999 World Championships, but later lost it due to doping. He was suspended from 1999 to 2001.
