Gerlind Reinshagen
Gerlind Reinshagen (4 May 1926 – 9 June 2019) was a German writer. Biography The daughter of Ekkehard and Friedel Technau, she was born in Königsberg and studied pharmacy and art. She wrote children's books, novels, poetry and radio plays before writing her first play for the theatre ''Doppelkopf'' in 1967. Her plays ''Himmel und Erde'' (Heaven and Earth) (1974) and ''Sonntagskinder'' (Sunday's children) (1976) were also produced as films. Most of her plays were directed by the influential director . Königsberg
Königsberg (, ) was the historic Prussian city that is now Kaliningrad, Russia. Königsberg was founded in 1255 on the site of the ancient Old Prussian settlement ''Twangste'' by the Teutonic Knights during the Northern Crusades, and was named in honour of King Ottokar II of Bohemia. A Baltic port city, it successively became the capital of the Królewiec Voivodeship, the State of the Teutonic Order, the Duchy of Prussia and the provinces of East Prussia and Prussia. Schiller Memorial Prize
The Schiller Memorial Prize (german: Schiller-Gedächtnispreis) is a literature prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg. It is endowed with 25,000 euros and has been awarded since 1955 on Friedrich Schiller's birthday, 10 November. The award was donated on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Friedrich Schiller's death and is presented every three years. The prize acknowledges outstanding work in the field of German literature or intellectual history, for single works or collected works. Roswitha Prize
The Roswitha Prize (german: Roswitha-Preis) is the oldest German language prize for literature that is given solely to women. The Roswitha-Medal has been given almost yearly since 1973 by the city of Bad Gandersheim. In 1998 it received its modern designation along with an endowment of €5,500. It is named for Roswitha of Gandersheim, a 10th-century Benedictine nun who is considered the first female German playwright and author. The Lower Saxony State Prize (german: Niedersächsischer Staatspreis, links=no) has been awarded by the State of Lower Saxony since 2002. From 1978 to 1999 it was called the Lower Saxony Prize (german: Niedersachsenpreis, links=no). The award is presented by the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony. The prize has been awarded to personalities who have made outstanding services to the state through their outstanding work in the fields of culture, women, social affairs, science, the environment or the economy.
